Past Tenses: Perfekt, Präteritum, and Plusquamperfekt

Form German Perfekt, Präteritum, and Plusquamperfekt and choose haben or sein.

Explanation

Regular participles use **ge-...-t**, irregular ones usually **ge-...-en**; inseparable verbs omit **ge-**. Use **sein** mainly with intransitive change of place/state, but **haben** in transitive uses. Präteritum narrates directly, Perfekt presents a past event/result, and Plusquamperfekt marks an earlier past.
